‘Tis the season to give gifts, but let’s be honest, this must be the most bizarre holiday season ever! While there’s never been a more appropriate time to give our loved ones thoughtful presents that will lift their spirits, we’re also being asked to not gather in groups. Bah humbug! Though it’s confusing at best, I wanted to share my top three suggestions for giving gifts that will put a real warm smile on everyone’s faces, even if it’s from a proper social distance.
Take Out That Apron & Get Baking:
If you’re looking to give your friends or neighbors something that subtly says I put extra thought and effort into this, then why not bake up a tray of yummy holiday cookies or brownies? If you can read, then you can bake – so hop to it! You can’t beat the smell of warm treats baking in the oven, and all the pals on your list will be delighted to find brightly wrapped care packages at their doorsteps. Aren’t you a good little elf?!
Tap Into Your Talents:
No doubt you’d like to give your loved ones small things that will de-stress their lives, and now is a great time to utilize your own skills to create something totally unique and special. Is photography your thing? Print some of your best photos, frame them and give them as beautiful gifts. Do you have a lovely handwriting to rival that of a calligrapher? Write out a thoughtful poem or quote and frame it. These are the types of things that will definitely keep on giving, and maybe even encourage them throughout the year.
Share The Mood-Lifting Benefits of Essential Oils:
Studies show essential oils can work directly on our brains to alleviate stress and anxiety, and even improve sleep quality. Lavender essential oil is the most well known and the gold standard when it comes to discussions about aromatherapy and its mood-boosting benefits. Why not share the love this season? Our Hungarian Lavender Bath Bomb does double duty to erase stress and lift spirits. Each one provides a sense of relaxation and serenity, while soothing Epson salts and skin-softening botanicals restore moisture to parched skin. And who can’t use a little ahhhhh in their life?!
What are you doing this holiday season to be more thoughtful in your gift giving? How are you celebrating the holidays from afar? Please share your thoughts and stories with me. Send me a DM on Instagram. I’d love to hear them!
As always, wishing you and your families a safe and happy holiday season!
